Inji Legiyam is recommended for people suffering from poor digestion, low appetite, bloating, excessive gas, nausea, and mild stomach discomfort. It is also useful after heavy meals to improve digestion and reduce heaviness. It is traditionally taken before meals to activate digestive enzymes and improve gut function. The usual dosage is 5 to 10 grams (approximately one teaspoon) twice daily, preferably before food, or as advised by a Siddha or Ayurvedic practitioner.
